About the position

The Senior Network Support Engineer will be responsible for deploying, configuring, and managing network infrastructure to support business operations, including acquisitions and site integrations. This role requires strong expertise in Cisco, Fortinet, wireless technologies, and F5, along with the ability to provide technical support and guidance to junior staff. The ideal candidate will have 5-10 years of experience in a senior support role and will play a key role in ensuring optimal network performance and security.

Responsibilities

• Deploy, configure, and manage network infrastructure to support business operations, including acquisitions and site integrations.
• Install and maintain Cisco network equipment, including routers, switches, and wireless access points.
• Configure and manage Fortinet firewalls and security policies to ensure robust network protection.
• Set up and troubleshoot wireless networks to optimize connectivity and performance.
• Manage F5 load balancers for optimal application performance and availability.
• Monitor network performance, identify issues, and resolve them in a timely manner to ensure minimal downtime.
• Collaborate with IT teams to implement network changes in line with business requirements and best practices.
• Provide technical support and guidance to junior staff or other departments as needed.
• Participate in network capacity planning, upgrades, and optimization projects.
• Maintain network documentation for configuration changes, standard operating procedures, and network diagrams.

Requirements

• 5-10 years of experience in a senior network support role or similar position.
• Proficiency with Cisco network equipment (routers, switches, wireless).
• Hands-on experience with Fortinet firewalls and security management.
• Strong knowledge of wireless network setup and troubleshooting.
• Experience with F5 load balancers and application delivery technologies.
• Ability to deploy and integrate network solutions for mergers and acquisitions.
• Understanding of firewall rules, network security, and best practices.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
• Strong communication skills for interacting with teams and stakeholders.

Nice-to-haves

• Certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, NSE, or equivalent.
• Familiarity with network monitoring tools and software.
• Experience with cloud networking solutions (e.g., AWS, Azure).
