We are currently seeking Network Provision Engineers to join our National Security Sector team at client sites in Herndon, McLean, and Culpeper, VA. In this role, you will utilize your expertise in network security policy and your experience with intrusion detection, network ports, and protocols such as DNS, DHCP, IP, and TCP. You will work with McAfee security appliances, Cisco routers, switches, and ASA firewalls to ensure the integrity and security of our network systems. Your responsibilities will include configuring, maintaining, and managing McAfee and Palo Alto Firewall devices, creating firewall rules, and performing network troubleshooting. You will ensure the successful integration of network systems and components, receive project tasking, review approved engineering designs, and validate routers, switches, and firewalls, including complex scripts. Additionally, you will conduct network implementation, testing, and troubleshooting, which may require support for after-hours implementations. Reporting on network status will also be a key part of your role. To qualify for this position, you must possess a TS/SCI with polygraph clearance and the ability to satisfy a government-administered high-risk screening. You should have experience with surveys, installing conveyances, pulling and terminating cables, and implementing required pinouts. A detailed understanding of EIGRP, OSPF, BGP/MP-BGP, and MPLS routing protocols is essential, along with familiarity with Layer 2 and Layer 3 VPNs. You will also need to demonstrate experience with firewall rule creation, Splunk, network troubleshooting, and routing, as well as intrusion detection experience. A total of 10 years of applicable experience is required, which can be a combination of education and work history.
