The role of Senior Network Security Engineer involves leading small to large projects, including planning, design, and implementation of complex network and security engagements, while also being responsible for documentation and troubleshooting.
Responsibilities
- Leading complex, large scale Security projects
- Creating detailed, implementation-level Designs that align with the business strategy, the customer's budget, and operational support capabilities
- Performing Network and Security Assessments, including Architecture, Configuration, along with best practices
- Preparing and presenting documentation and engagement deliverables to customers
- Collaborating as part of a multi-functional team with Sales, Pre-Sales, Project Management and other delivery/engineering resources
- Troubleshooting and trouble resolution of complex issues and assisting team members in solving problems with their deployments.
Requirements
- Experienced expert with complex multi-protocol routing and switching solutions (Cisco)
- Extensive knowledge and experience with Palo Alto Networks Product Portfolio
- Knowledge of Panorama, Prisma Access, Prisma Cloud
- Experience with Cisco Security Product Portfolio
- Familiarity with DNA / pxGrid Integration, dACL, SGT
- Knowledge of ISE - NAC, Posture, and Provisioning for Wired, Wireless, and VPN
- Experience with FirePower / FTD Firewalls, Meraki MX: Configuration, tuning, troubleshooting
- FMC Management
- Understanding of various security parameters and harden access to devices
- Core Routing and Switching platforms with focus on design, configuration, and troubleshooting using Cisco Best Practices
- Network design and applications, including designing IP addressing
- Knowledge of OSPF, BGP, EIGRP, Redistribution of protocols and loop prevention
- Understanding of TCP/IP protocol stack, TCP/IP headers and packets, the OSI model, and commonly used TCP/UDP ports and associated services
- Strong level in routing and switching troubleshooting
- Solid verbal and written communication skills
Nice-to-haves
- Fortinet Product Portfolio
- Experience with Fortigate FWs, FortiManager/FortiAnalyzer
- Familiarity with Aruba Product Suite
- Experience with Aruba CX and Aruba OS software
- Knowledge of VSX and VSF technologies
- Experience with High availability configurations
- Cloud Networking experience with AWS, Azure, GCP in Networking context
- Familiarity with Aviatrix
- Automation / Scripting: Python, EMM and TCL
- Active Cisco certification; CCNP, CCIE Preferred
- Active Palo Alto certification; PCNSA, PCCSE, PCNSE Preferred
