About the position

ENSCO Inc is seeking an experienced Space Systems Senior Network Systems Engineer to support the Space Systems Command Battle Management Command, Control, and Communications (SSC/BC) portfolio. This role involves enterprise integration and modernization of tactical level Command, Control & Communications (C3) capabilities, focusing on satellite operations and improving resiliency. The engineer will perform various tasks including modeling, simulation, analysis, requirements analysis, and engineering support throughout the acquisition life cycle.

Responsibilities

  • Support enterprise integration and modernization of tactical level Command, Control & Communications (C3) capabilities.
  • Perform space acquisitions, engineering, operations, and technical advice and assistance for all projects and programs.
  • Identify areas of improvement and provide actionable recommendations.
  • Conduct modeling, simulation, and analysis (MS&A) and architecture development support.
  • Perform requirements analysis and decomposition, including system performance test and verification.
  • Conduct engineering analyses to predict and define problems and design corrective measures.
  • Review and assess contractor designs and conduct trade studies on alternative system design approaches.
  • Participate or lead technical meetings and government-led studies, ensuring system modifications meet requirements.

Requirements

  • BS/BA with more than 16 years of experience; MS/MA with more than 13 years; PHD or JD with more than 10 years.
  • Expert in wide area network architecture planning, design, and applicable open systems interconnections layers in space applications.
  • Highly knowledgeable in Information Technology Service Management.
  • Experience performing government space systems program support efforts to develop, update, and coordinate program documentation.
  • Experience with engaging various DoD organizations to coordinate architecture alignment efforts and mission partner requirements collection.
  • Experience with requirements traceability, system-of-systems integration and testing, test planning, development, and execution testing.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication (oral and writing) skills.
  • Experience in using critical thinking to prepare written reports and presentations for decision makers.
  • Must have a current Top Secret security clearance and be able to obtain TS/SCI clearance.

Nice-to-haves

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent.
  • Experience in developing cyber security artifacts to support system accreditation.
  • Proficiency with analysis tools for space applications (STK Comm module, Riverbed).
  • Experience developing required documentation to set up communications connectivity at military installations.
