About the position

The Space Systems Senior Network Systems Engineer at ENSCO Inc. will support the Space Systems Command Battle Management Command, Control, and Communications (SSC/BC) portfolio. This role focuses on the integration and modernization of tactical Command, Control & Communications (C3) capabilities, enhancing satellite operations and resilience. The engineer will engage in various stages of the acquisition life cycle, providing technical advice, performing modeling and simulation, and ensuring system modifications meet requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Support enterprise integration and modernization of tactical level Command, Control & Communications (C3) capabilities.
  • Perform space acquisitions, engineering, operations, and technical advice and assistance for all projects and programs.
  • Identify areas of improvement along actionable recommendations.
  • Perform modeling, simulation, and analysis (MS&A) and architecture development support.
  • Perform requirements analysis and decomposition, including system performance test and verification.
  • Perform engineering analyses to predict and define problems and design actionable corrective measures.
  • Review and assess contractor designs and conduct trade studies on alternative system design approaches.
  • Participate or lead technical meetings and government-led studies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent.
  • More than 16 years of experience with a BS/BA; more than 13 years with an MS/MA; more than 10 years with a PhD or JD.
  • Expert in wide area network architecture planning and design.
  • Highly knowledgeable in Information Technology Service Management.
  • Experience performing government space systems program support efforts.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Must have a current Top Secret security clearance and be able to obtain a TS/SCI clearance.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in developing cyber security artifacts to support system accreditation.
  • Proficiency with analysis tools for space applications (STK Comm module, Riverbed).
  • Experience developing required documentation to setup communications connectivity at military installations.
