About the position

The Senior Network Systems Engineer will support the Space Systems Command Battle Management Command, Control, and Communications (SSC/BC) portfolio at ENSCO Inc. This role involves enterprise integration and modernization of tactical level Command, Control & Communications (C3) capabilities, focusing on satellite operations and improving resiliency. The engineer will engage in various engineering analyses, requirements analysis, and provide technical advice throughout the acquisition life cycle.

Responsibilities

  • Support enterprise integration and modernization of tactical level Command, Control & Communications (C3) capabilities.
  • Perform space acquisitions, engineering, operations, and technical advice and assistance for all projects and programs.
  • Identify areas of improvement along actionable recommendations.
  • Perform modeling, simulation, and analysis (MS&A) and architecture development support.
  • Perform requirements analysis and decomposition, including system performance test and verification.
  • Perform engineering analyses to predict and define problems and operational implementation of systems.
  • Review and assess contractor designs and conduct trade studies on alternative system design approaches.
  • Participate or lead technical meetings and government-led studies.

Requirements

  • BS/BA with more than 16 years of experience; MS/MA with more than 13 years; PHD or JD with more than 10 years.
  • Expert in wide area network architecture planning, design, and applicable open systems interconnections layers in space applications.
  • Highly knowledgeable in Information Technology Service Management.
  • Experience performing government space systems program support efforts.
  • Experience with engaging various DoD organizations to coordinate architecture alignment efforts.
  • Experience with requirements traceability, system-of-systems integration and testing.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Must have a current Top Secret security clearance and be able to obtain a TS/SCI clearance.

Nice-to-haves

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent.
  • Experience in developing cyber security artifacts to support system accreditation.
  • Proficiency with analysis tools for space applications (STK Comm module, Riverbed).
  • Experience developing required documentation to setup communications connectivity at military installations.
