About the position

The Space Systems Senior Network Systems Engineer at ENSCO Inc. will support the Space Systems Command Battle Management Command, Control, and Communications (SSC/SZ) portfolio. This role involves enterprise integration and modernization of tactical Command, Control & Communications (C3) capabilities, focusing on transforming satellite operations and enhancing resiliency. The engineer will engage in various stages of the acquisition life cycle, perform requirements analysis, provide engineering analyses, and support cyber testing and assessment activities.

Responsibilities

  • Support enterprise integration and modernization of tactical level Command, Control & Communications (C3) capabilities.
  • Perform space acquisitions, engineering, operations, and technical advice and assistance for all projects and programs.
  • Conduct requirements analysis and decomposition, including system performance test and verification.
  • Provide detailed, executable recommendations to support driving down risk.
  • Perform engineering analyses to predict and define problems, and operational implementation of systems.
  • Review and assess contractor designs and conduct trade studies on alternative system design approaches.
  • Participate or lead technical meetings and government-led studies, assess technical baselines and ensure system modifications meet requirements.
  • Support cyber testing and assessment activities and provide recommendations regarding cyber activities.

Requirements

  • Master's and/or Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent.
  • IASAE Level III Certification (CISSP-ISSAP, CISSP-ISSEP).
  • IAT Level II or higher certification (Security+ CE, CISSP, etc.).
  • INCOSE ASEP, CSEP, or equivalent certification.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in network systems engineering processes and procedures.
  • Highly knowledgeable in classified network systems engineering processes, including requirements development and configuration control.
  • Demonstrates ability to organize and conduct information security support operations and management.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Experience in using critical thinking to prepare written reports and presentations for decision makers.
  • Must have a current Top Secret security clearance and be able to obtain a TS/SCI clearance.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience developing cyber security artifacts to support system accreditation.
  • Experience developing required documentation to setup communications connectivity at military installations.
