About the position

ENSCO Inc is seeking an experienced Space Systems Senior Network Systems Engineer to support the Space Systems Command Battle Management Command, Control, and Communications (SSC/BC) portfolio. This role involves enterprise integration and modernization of tactical level Command, Control & Communications (C3) capabilities, focusing on transforming satellite operations and enhancing resiliency. The engineer will engage in various stages of the acquisition life cycle, providing technical advice, performing modeling and simulation, and conducting requirements analysis to ensure system modifications meet operational needs.

Responsibilities

  • Support enterprise integration and modernization of tactical level Command, Control & Communications (C3) capabilities.
  • Perform space acquisitions, engineering, operations, and technical advice and assistance for all projects and programs.
  • Identify areas of improvement along actionable recommendations.
  • Perform modeling, simulation, and analysis (MS&A) and architecture development support.
  • Perform requirements analysis and decomposition, including system performance test and verification.
  • Conduct engineering analyses to predict and define problems and design actionable corrective measures.
  • Review and assess contractor designs and conduct trade studies on alternative system design approaches.
  • Participate or lead technical meetings and government-led studies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent.
  • More than 16 years of experience with a BS/BA; more than 13 years with an MS/MA; more than 10 years with a PhD or JD.
  • Expert in wide area network architecture planning, design, and applicable open systems interconnections layers in space applications.
  • Highly knowledgeable in Information Technology Service Management and architecture/system requirements development.
  • Experience performing government space systems program support efforts to develop, update, and coordinate program documentation.
  • Experience with engaging various DoD organizations to coordinate architecture alignment efforts and mission partner requirements collection.
  • Experience with requirements traceability, system-of-systems integration and testing, test planning, development, and execution testing.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Experience in using critical thinking to prepare written reports and presentations for decision makers.
  • Must have a current Top Secret security clearance and be able to obtain a TS/SCI clearance.
