About the position

NVIDIA is seeking a Senior Networking Architect to join its networking architecture team, focusing on the development of next-generation networking solutions for AI and accelerated data centers. This role involves research and development across various layers, including ASIC design, algorithms, and systems, while collaborating with internal teams, strategic partners, and networking communities.

Responsibilities

• Research and develop networking solutions for accelerated data centers.
• Engage in ASIC design and real-time software development.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to create innovative networking solutions.
• Participate in standard bodies and networking communities to advance networking technologies.

Requirements

• B.Sc, M.Sc, or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• 12+ years of industry or research experience in computer networks.
• Experience in developing ASICs and/or real-time software running on ASICs.
• Proven understanding of networking and routing protocols and their implementations.
• Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
• Ability to work in a dynamic environment and manage multiple projects concurrently.

Nice-to-haves

• Deep knowledge in RDMA, particularly RoCE.
• Understanding of various network topologies and their attributes.
• Experience with load balancing and congestion control algorithms.
• Familiarity with industry standards and experience with standards organizations or open source communities.
• Strong programming skills in Python and/or C++.
