About the position

The Senior NPI Support Engineer at Nokia of America Corporation is responsible for validating the performance of Radio Access Network (RAN) products in LTE and 5G environments. This role involves end-to-end testing, system integration, and verification of software, as well as troubleshooting and preparing for market introduction demos and trials. The engineer will also write test cases, manage trouble tickets for product defects, and support customer demos.

Responsibilities

• Perform testing to validate end-to-end Radio Access Network (RAN) product behavior in LTE and 5G.
• Reproduce issues and verify single call functionality.
• Conduct end-to-end testing, system integration, and verification of software in lab and field test networks.
• Perform early integration, troubleshoot, and prepare for market introduction demos and trials.
• Interpret internal/external business requirements and recommend best practices.
• Write test cases and other guiding documentation for system level tests and market introduction activities.
• Open and solve trouble tickets for product defects found during testing.
• Support customer demos and build demo use cases and end-to-end demo systems.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Telecommunications Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field, and a minimum of 5 years of post-bachelor's progressive related work experience, OR a Master's degree or foreign equivalent in the same fields with a minimum of 3 years of related work experience.
• 3 years of experience with end-to-end system integration, verification of software, and automation enhancements.
• Experience with Kubernetes, Openstack, AWS, or MS Azure.
• Experience with Control and UserPlane, Competence Development, and CoDe delivery.
