About the position

The Senior Nurse Consultant at PruittHealth plays a crucial role in enhancing clinical excellence across designated centers. This position involves planning and directing clinical operations, implementing quality improvement practices, and providing education and mentorship to ensure compliance with regulations and quality outcomes. The consultant will analyze clinical operations, recommend resource utilization, and support centers in achieving their clinical goals through effective collaboration with leadership teams.

Responsibilities

  • Formulate operation strategies and center objectives in collaboration with the region/division team and center leaders.
  • Conduct center support visits to ensure progress on clinical operations goals and improvement plans.
  • Ensure the center RAI process is interdisciplinary and comprehensive to meet resident needs.
  • Assure compliance with regulatory requirements and company standards for Quality Assurance Performance Improvement.
  • Review clinical denials for admission and identify training needs for center staff.
  • Provide education on current and new regulatory requirements to center personnel.
  • Develop proactive education and support plans based on clinical systems reviews and outcomes.
  • Mentor and educate the director of nursing to ensure competency and professional development.
  • Support implementation of workplace safety policies and procedures.
  • Collect and organize clinical data for quality assurance and improvement initiatives.

Requirements

  • Nursing degree required; BSN or master's preferred.
  • Knowledge of State and Federal regulations governing post-acute and long-term care.
  • Clinical practice expertise in program scope and implementation.
  • Ability to formulate and deliver educational programs.
  • Basic computer software skills: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Internet/Intranet use.
  • Exceptional communication skills in an interdisciplinary care setting.
  • Knowledge of emergency and disaster preparedness.
  • Ability to travel and work independently.
  • Exceptional knowledge of quality assurance and performance improvement and data analytics.
  • Licensed Nurse.

Nice-to-haves

  • Five years of professional nursing experience.
  • Any equivalent combination of experience and training that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
