About the position

The position involves the day-to-day delivery of critical lending operations processes, focusing on loan administration and servicing activities. The role supports the execution of payments, transactions, service requests, and administrative activities while ensuring fulfillment of stakeholder inquiries and requests within relevant service level agreements (SLAs). The successful candidate will collaborate with various stakeholders to promote efficient and effective processes and workflows, establishing positive working relationships across the organization to achieve business results and enhance the customer and employee experience. Lending operations encompass specialized processes and activities related to mortgages, consumer lending products, leasing, and commercial lending products. The role requires gathering and formatting data into regular and ad-hoc reports and dashboards, supporting change management of varying scope and type, with tasks typically focused on execution and sustainment activities. The candidate will organize work information to ensure accuracy and completeness, executing routine tasks such as service requests, transactions, and queries within the established SLAs. Administrative tasks will include distributing, collecting, and filing documentation and information. The position may also function as a problem-solving resource for junior staff, providing accurate and timely processing of service requests and transactions in accordance with established policies and procedures. The candidate will check and reconcile information and documentation to ensure accuracy, identify and resolve discrepancies, and escalate issues as necessary. Data entry, review, and verification of loan information and documentation for processing will be essential, as well as managing documentation to maintain proper records. The role requires effective communication and collaboration with internal and external stakeholders to deliver on business objectives. The candidate will also collaborate in the development and implementation of new processes and systems, as well as changes and improvements to existing systems and processes. A strong understanding of regulatory requirements and risks inherent in operations is necessary to ensure appropriate actions are taken and operational integrity is maintained. Additionally, the candidate will support the development of tools and delivery of training focused on achieving business results, completing complex and diverse tasks within given rules and limits, and handling escalations from other employees as needed.

Requirements

  • Typically between 2 - 3 years of relevant experience and a post-secondary degree in a related field of study desirable or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Knowledge and experience using relevant systems and technology.
  • Good knowledge and understanding of the business unit's key products and services, processes, and controls.
  • Good knowledge of the risk and regulatory requirements of the business.
  • Good prioritization skills.
  • Good PC skills (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
