About the position

The Senior Operations Coordinator at Climate Group is a pivotal role designed to support the Operations Manager in executing day-to-day administrative tasks for the North America team. This part-time position, which is expected to scale to full-time by June 2025, involves collaboration across various teams, including HR, Executive Management, and general administrative support. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with a focus on workplace culture, capable of managing multiple tasks efficiently while contributing to the organization's mission of driving climate action.

Responsibilities

  • Management of HR systems including payroll processing, onboarding, and offboarding new team members.
  • Collaborate with the central HR department on HR initiatives and adapt policies for the US.
  • Maintain the Staff Handbook and assist with recruitment efforts.
  • Act as the point of contact for team-related inquiries and manage supplier relationships.
  • Assist in booking travel and accommodation for team travel.
  • Coordinate the purchase of equipment requests and manage team culture initiatives.
  • Perform basic finance tasks and assist in executing grants between teams.
  • Manage internal information systems and lend administrative support for events.

Requirements

  • Experience with HR procedures and systems management.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a remote team.
  • Technological aptitude and problem-solving abilities.
