Senior Operations Manager, DashMart - Midwest

About the position

New Verticals is a new, lean team at DoorDash. We’re building and scaling new ways to delight our customers, leveraging the DoorDash platform. We’re looking for a people-focused leader and experienced operations specialist to lead some of our new DashMart facilities. As a leader, you will recruit, lead, coach & retain a high-performing team of Operations Managers, Site Managers, and Operations Associates. You will oversee the day-to-day operations of 15-20 DashMart locations, ensuring all site processes run smoothly, efficiently and safely. You will design, build and execute process improvement projects to drive operational efficiencies and improve employee experience. You will work cross-functionally with central teams to ensure your portfolio of sites offer customers the best experience on each and every order.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, lead, coach & retain a high-performing team of Operations Managers, Site Managers, and Operations Associates.
• Oversee the day-to-day operations of 15-20 DashMart locations.
• Design, build and execute process improvement projects.
• Work cross-functionally with central teams to enhance customer experience.

Requirements

• 4 year college degree.
• 7+ years’ experience in Operations, Consulting, Strategy or a related field.
• 5+ years of leadership experience managing leaders in an operations heavy environment.
• Familiarity with SQL.
• Ability to solve problems from first principles.
• Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Excel / Google Sheets / data analysis.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience starting or scaling a successful startup.
• Demonstrated interest in logistics, on-demand services, and marketplaces.
• Operational experience in logistics and/or warehousing.
• Multi-unit management experience.
• Experience building and training high performing teams.
