About The Position

KBR's National Security Solutions team provides high-end engineering and advanced technology solutions to our customers in the intelligence and national security communities. In this position, your work will have a profound impact on the country's most critical role - protecting our national security. KBR is seeking an Operations Research Analyst for mission-level combat modeling to join our team at Peterson SFB in Colorado Springs, CO. An active Top Secret clearance is required.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in operations research or a theoretical science field (Master's preferred)
• An active Top Secret with SCI security clearance
• 10+ years of directly applicable experience
• Experience conducting modeling & simulation analyses
• Willingness to learn and employ campaign-level and/or defense enterprise-level models
• High motivation, creativity, and flexibility to work in a dynamic environment
• Ability to work well as part of a team
• Strong quantitative and analytic abilities to integrate and analyze data

Nice To Haves

• Master's degree in operations research or a theoretical science field
• Experience with more highly aggregated, campaign-level and/or defense enterprise-level analysis tools
• Experience in DoD space and joint force programs
• Experience with AFSIM, SEAS, STORM or other related models
• Experience with Java, MATLAB, R, SAS, JMP, and/or Python
• Experience with data transformations and data visualization
• Experience with Structured Query Language (SQL) and MySQL or other relational databases
• Experience with BI Tools
• Experience with Excel VBA

Responsibilities

• Utilizing studies and analyses, specifically a strong background in mission-level modeling and simulation, the analyst will make recommendations regarding the military utility, feasibility, joint warfighter impacts of the concepts and capabilities under study
• Ability to coordinate with senior managers and decision makers to identify and solve a variety of problems and to clarify management objectives
• The Analyst will work as part of a contractor team working alongside a broader team of government and contract staff
