About the position

CHS Inc. is seeking a Truck Driver/Operations Specialist in Cavendish, ID, to support grain and agronomy operations. This role involves loading and unloading agricultural products, performing maintenance and repairs, and ensuring the quality of grain and fertilizer. The position offers an opportunity to work with a leading co-op while making a positive impact in the local community.

Responsibilities

• Prepare trucks and railcars for loading/unloading, including sampling and attaching/detaching hoses.
• Load and unload agricultural inputs from railcars and/or trucks using machinery/equipment.
• Conduct repairs and maintenance tasks, and regularly inspect equipment.
• Monitor and maintain inventory quality, including blended, bulk, or packaged products.
• Deliver products such as fertilizer, chemicals, and feed to customer sites safely and professionally.
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal laws regarding transportation and safety.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety of work areas and vehicles, including regular housekeeping duties.
• Perform grounds maintenance and warehouse work, including forklift operation.
• Report customer complaints, maintenance needs, or safety concerns to the supervisor.
• Promote a strong safety culture and follow all safety policies and procedures.

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience in Operations and/or Trucking Operations
• Must meet minimum age requirement
• Ability to read, write, and communicate in English
• Ability to work additional hours and occasional weekends to meet business demands

Nice-to-haves

• High School diploma or GED preferred
• Maintain or be able to obtain a CDL and DOT medical card
• Hazmat, Tanker, and Air Brake endorsements preferred
• Valid Class A CDL preferred
• Agriculture background preferred
• Customer service experience preferred
• Bulk liquid, Pressure trailer, or Forklift experience preferred
