About the position

The Senior Optical Equipment Engineer at ASML is responsible for supporting vacuum coating and etch processes within the Optics Fabrication group. This role involves collaborating with various teams to ensure the delivery of safe, precise, and reliable equipment, maximizing machine availability, and maintaining high-quality production standards. The engineer will utilize their extensive experience in optical or semiconductor manufacturing to tackle technical challenges and enhance equipment performance.

Responsibilities

• Support vacuum coating and etch processes by collaborating with process engineers, technicians, and machine operators.
• Maximize machine availability through proper equipment selection and maintenance planning.
• Create and execute preventative maintenance plans to ensure equipment reliability.
• Define critical spare parts for quick response to unplanned downtime.
• Develop standard maintenance procedures to enhance maintenance effectiveness.
• Plan strategic upgrades and identify end-of-life equipment.
• Provide hands-on support for equipment modifications and upgrades.
• Assist maintenance teams with advanced troubleshooting of equipment issues.

Requirements

• BS in an engineering discipline or equivalent industry experience.
• 15+ years in an optical or semiconductor manufacturing role.
• Deep knowledge of vacuum systems and maintenance.
• Experience with various thin film evaporation technologies.
• Familiarity with PLCs and machine controls.
• Advanced troubleshooting skills for mechanical, electrical, and software-related issues.
