About the position

The Senior Oracle Applications Software Engineer will play a crucial role in enhancing business processes for a local government agency in Denver, Colorado. This full-time position involves maintaining ERP systems by designing, developing, unit testing, and debugging various components within Oracle Applications. The engineer will collaborate with business stakeholders to translate requirements into effective solutions, provide operational support, and manage integration issues across data flows.

Responsibilities

• Partner and work collaboratively with client business stakeholders to understand business requirements and implement solutions in Oracle Applications.
• Provide daily operational support for production systems, including on-call support.
• Respond to requests for reports from across the organization in an accurate and timely manner.
• Design and develop new integrations needed in and out of the ERP Systems.
• Manage integration support issues across data flows in ERP Systems through to resolution.
• Work with user groups to understand and resolve issues in ERP Systems for new and existing processes, reports, and domains.
• Follow SDLC methodology to develop documentation, gather business approvals, test, and implement system enhancements in the production environment.
• Conduct program tests by developing test plans and performing or overseeing testing to verify program functionality and modifications.
• Review and analyze programs to understand the implementation of underlying business functions, develop work plans and cost estimates, and advise users on cost-effective conversions to web-based systems.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• A minimum of five years of experience with ERP systems, preferably Oracle Applications, focusing on Finance, Materials Management, and Purchasing modules.
• At least five years of experience in SQL and PL/SQL programming in ERP Databases.
• A minimum of three years of experience with Oracle Applications Forms, Reporting, Integrations, and Workflows.
• At least three years of experience with integration tools and APIs.
• Experience with upgrades and patching is preferred.
