About the position

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Senior Oracle Database Administrator to join a federal program based in Fort Belvoir, VA. This role requires a SECRET clearance and involves managing and maintaining Oracle databases, ensuring their performance, security, and reliability.

Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain Oracle databases, including performance tuning, backup, and recovery.
• Administer OBIEE (Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition) platform.
• Handle tasks in a Linux environment, including installation, configuration, and troubleshooting.
• Provide support for MySQL databases, ensuring reliability and optimal performance.
• Collaborate with development and infrastructure teams to optimize database systems for efficiency and scalability.
• Implement security best practices to safeguard sensitive data.
• Conduct regular monitoring and proactive maintenance to ensure high availability and reliability of database systems.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience with the design, installation, configuration, administration, patching, upgrades, tuning, backup and recovery, and troubleshooting of Oracle Enterprise Database in a Linux environment on virtual servers.
• Active Security+ certification REQUIRED.
• Active Secret clearance REQUIRED.

Nice-to-haves

• Preferred experience with Oracle 19c or higher, MySQL 8 or higher, PostgreSQL 13.7 or higher and Oracle BI (OBIEE) 12.
