As a Senior Oracle DBA at Fiserv, you will play a crucial role in the implementation of new technologies and the support of operations across numerous Oracle databases. Your responsibilities will involve collaborating closely with internal clients, systems programmers, and application developers to define and resolve information flow and content issues. You will be tasked with transforming business requirements into environment-specific databases, ensuring that the databases are optimized for performance and reliability. This position requires expertise in managing multiple-terabyte very large databases (VLDBs) in high-availability, high-volume transaction processing (OLTP), batch processing, reporting, and data warehousing environments. You will work across various platforms, including Exadata (CS/CC), ODA, AIX, Linux, and Solaris. In this role, you will demonstrate advanced skills in Oracle utilities such as AWR, ASH, ADDM, and OSWatcher, utilizing your knowledge of OEM management and administration. You will lead problem diagnosis, shell scripting, performance monitoring and tuning, as well as database backup and recovery processes. Your responsibilities will also include configuring, administering, and implementing complex database infrastructures, managing multiple replication technologies, and designing high-availability architectural topologies. You will monitor and analyze performance metrics, allocate database resources effectively, and support multiple servers and databases of varying complexity to ensure data control, integrity, and accessibility. Additionally, you will perform fail-over testing and demonstrate expert-level knowledge of networks, storage, encryption, security, cloud technologies, and backup and recovery solutions. Managing the implementation of database patches, upgrades, and migrations while troubleshooting performance and capacity issues will also be key aspects of your role. This position is vital to maintaining the operational excellence of Fiserv's database environments, ensuring that they meet the demands of a fast-paced financial technology landscape.
