The Senior Oracle DBA plays a critical role within the Digital Service Delivery organization at Mastercard. This individual will lead large initiatives, gathering requirements through feature requests from development partners, performing analysis and implementation of database designs, providing consulting, and driving best practices, governance, and standards of Database Engineering within the company. The Digital Service Delivery team is looking for a candidate who can help solve problems, build and maintain databases, and lead Mastercard in database automation and best practices. The ideal candidate is a born problem solver with a low tolerance for manual work, seeking to automate processes wherever possible. They should have experience working in global teams across different geographies and possess an entrepreneurial spirit that embraces critical questioning, innovation, customer service, and continuous improvement. As a Senior Engineer in the Digital Service Delivery team, you will leverage your knowledge and skills to deploy and manage various database technologies in both Test and Production environments for global products, including Developer APIs, Digital Checkout, and Card Tokenization. The role requires managing a wide variety of databases, with a strong emphasis on database backup and recovery, performance tuning, and high availability configuration. The candidate should be highly experienced in multiple database technologies, including but not limited to Oracle, MS-SQL Server, PostgreSQL, DB2, Cassandra, and Redis. The position also involves forward-thinking infrastructure automation and scripting skills, managing client expectations, collaborating with other DBAs, and providing direction for best practices and application database solutions to Mastercard's development teams. Additionally, the role includes reviewing new tools and products that assist in providing database support and services, as well as planning and coordinating data migrations between systems.
