About the position

The Senior Oracle DBA at HTC Global Services is a pivotal role that involves managing and optimizing Oracle databases in a collaborative environment. The position requires extensive experience in database administration, particularly with Oracle technologies, and offers opportunities to work with emerging technologies while contributing to client success.

Responsibilities

• Manage and optimize Oracle databases (11g/12c/18c/19c) in Red Hat Linux using ASM storage and ext3 file systems.
• Administer PostgreSQL and SQL Server databases, ensuring their performance and reliability.
• Develop and maintain Unix Shell scripts for database automation and management tasks.
• Implement Oracle Transparent Data Encryption for data security.
• Oversee Oracle RAC configurations and performance tuning.
• Operate Oracle databases in cloud environments, enhancing scalability and availability.
• Utilize Oracle Exadata for high-performance database solutions.
• Perform backup and recovery operations using RMAN.
• Ensure compliance with ITIL processes and SOX/ICFR for critical financial systems.

Requirements

• 12+ years of IT industry experience.
• 7+ years of experience as a DBA in Oracle 11g/12c/18c/19c.
• Experience in PostgreSQL and SQL Server (minimum 1 year).
• Unix Shell Scripting experience (minimum 1 year).
• Knowledge of Oracle Transparent Data Encryption.
• Extensive experience in Oracle RAC.
• Experience with Oracle Exadata is required.
• Relevant experience with Oracle ASM file system and RMAN for backup and recovery.

Nice-to-haves

• Knowledge of Azure data services is a plus.
• Experience in operating Oracle in the Cloud is a plus.
