About the position

The Senior Oracle PL/SQL Developer is responsible for formulating and defining system scope and objectives based on user needs, solving complex problems, and preparing detailed specifications for programming. This role involves analyzing existing system logic, providing advanced support for business requirements, and ensuring quality assurance in testing efforts. The developer will work on multiple projects, providing technical leadership and support for application development and maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Provides advanced support for definition/refinement of business requirements and for quality assurance/acceptance testing efforts
• Designs, develops, tests and debugs software components of moderate to high complexity
• Provides implementation, production and upgrade support for software components of moderate to high complexity
• Acts as a supporting liaison between the application team and the user community, facilitating communications and coordinating system enhancements
• Works with user community to define business requirements and use cases for system configuration and development
• Manages the development of user and technical documentation according to department standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in related technical/business area plus 4 years of IT or business experience
• 6 years of additional experience can be substituted in lieu of degree
• Technical experience in Facets, HealthRules Payer or other Claims Processing Systems
• Superior experience with Oracle, SQL, PL/SQL, packages, triggers and views for programming, development, and reporting
• Experience with ETL processes and the use of an Operational Data Store (ODS)
• Experience with EDI transaction sets and knowledge of EDI standards
• Java development skills desired.
