About the position
Mainspring Energy is seeking a Senior Originator - Renewable Fuels to develop and execute growth strategies aimed at increasing sales in the renewable fuels sector. This role involves engaging with strategic partners and customers, particularly in the dairy farm, wastewater treatment, landfill, and biogas industries, to originate high-value deals and build a robust pipeline of opportunities. The successful candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams to articulate the value of Mainspring's offerings and foster strong relationships throughout the deal cycle.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute growth strategies to increase sales in renewable fuels.
- Originate new deal flow and build pipeline opportunities in assigned verticals.
- Network and engage with relevant personnel to foster relationships.
- Articulate and quantify the value of Mainspring partnerships.
- Qualify new opportunities and prioritize efforts towards high-value deals.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance Mainspring product lines based on market research and partner engagement.
Requirements
- At least 8 years of experience in the energy sector, particularly in complex deal transactions.
- Direct experience with renewable fuels such as biogas or hydrogen.
- Bachelor's degree required; advanced degrees preferred.
- Comprehensive understanding of the energy space and macroeconomic forces affecting renewable fuel projects.
- Ability to assimilate market research into well-articulated strategies.
- Demonstrated ability to execute strategies and foster complex deals to closure.
- Strong command of project finance concepts.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience in Corporate/Project M&A, RNG/LCFS, and large partnership/channel agreements.
- Experience in power generation.
