About the position

The Senior Outreach & Operations Support Specialist at NJ TRANSIT plays a crucial role in the Office of Business Development, focusing on outreach initiatives to engage and recruit qualified applicants, particularly from Minority/Women-Owned Business Enterprises (M/W/BEs). This position involves direct interaction with community partners and stakeholders to enhance participation in NJ TRANSIT's Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) program, ensuring compliance and effective reporting of performance metrics.

Responsibilities

• Facilitates the implementation of NJ TRANSIT's DBE outreach plan targeting qualified applicants.
• Participates in outreach events, managing logistics and community engagement.
• Generates reports tracking DBE, SBE, and DVOB participation using various software tools.
• Serves as the primary liaison with compliance management system software vendors.
• Provides logistical and administrative support for special projects and initiatives.
• Supports the development and delivery of training programs for DBE business development.
• Reports on NJ TRANSIT's performance to various stakeholders, ensuring compliance with regulations.
• Performs DBE/SBE certification and contract compliance functions as needed.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university.
• Three years of experience in a professional/corporate setting, including one year in DBE/SBE program administration or Procurement/Contract Administration.
