About the position

The Partner Sales Solution Architect for Systems Integrators (SIs) and Independent Software Vendors (ISVs) at AWS is responsible for driving technical engagement and success with strategic partners. This role involves leveraging deep technical expertise in software architecture and cloud computing to guide partners in utilizing AWS solutions effectively. The architect will act as a trusted advisor, ensuring successful cloud deployments and fostering strong relationships with partners and customers to promote AWS as the leading cloud computing platform.

Responsibilities

• Act as a trusted advisor to managed systems integrators.
• Provide architectural guidance and recommendations to promote partner engagements.
• Ensure customer and partner success in designing, building, and migrating applications on AWS.
• Lead architectural discussions and design exercises for successful cloud deployment.
• Educate customers and partners on the value proposition of AWS.
• Contribute to AWS customer-facing publications such as white papers and blogs.
• Collaborate with sales and partner teams to formulate and execute a sales strategy.
• Build deep relationships with senior technical individuals within customers and partners.
• Capture and share best-practice knowledge within the AWS solutions architect community.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in technology domains such as software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, or data & analytics.
• 3+ years of experience in design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures.
• 10+ years of IT development or implementation/consulting experience in the software or Internet industries.
• Knowledge of AWS services, market segments, customer base, and industry verticals.

Nice-to-haves

• 5+ years of infrastructure architecture, database architecture, and networking experience.
• Experience working with end user or developer communities.
• Cloud Technology Certification (e.g., Solutions Architecture, Cloud Security Professional, or Cloud DevOps Engineering).
