About the position

The Senior Partner Solutions Architect for AWS is responsible for driving technical engagement with strategic partners, including systems integrators and independent software vendors. This role focuses on helping partners utilize cloud computing technologies effectively, ensuring customer success in designing and deploying applications on the AWS platform. The position requires deep technical expertise in software architecture and cloud computing, along with strong customer-facing skills to navigate complex business and technical challenges.

Responsibilities

  • Act as a trusted advisor to managed systems integrators.
  • Provide architectural guidance and recommendations to promote partner engagements.
  • Ensure customer and partner success in designing, building, and migrating applications on AWS.
  • Lead architectural discussions and design exercises for successful cloud deployment.
  • Educate customers and partners on the value proposition of AWS.
  • Contribute to AWS customer-facing publications such as white papers and blogs.
  • Collaborate with sales and partner teams to formulate and execute a sales strategy.
  • Build relationships with senior technical individuals within customers and partners.
  • Capture and share best-practice knowledge within the AWS solutions architect community.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in technology domains such as software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, or data & analytics.
  • 3+ years of experience in design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures.
  • 10+ years of IT development or implementation/consulting experience in the software or Internet industries.
  • Knowledge of AWS services, market segments, customer base, and industry verticals.

Nice-to-haves

  • 5+ years of experience in infrastructure architecture, database architecture, and networking.
  • Experience working with end user or developer communities.
  • Cloud Technology Certification (e.g., Solutions Architecture, Cloud Security Professional, or Cloud DevOps Engineering).
