About the position

At Confluent, we are on a mission to revolutionize the way organizations utilize data through our innovative data streaming technology. We are seeking a strong technologist to support and grow partnerships with key technology partners. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for driving various technical initiatives and activities for our partners, which include integration design and support, joint solutions, account engagement, enablement, and more. Your contributions will be instrumental in growing and deepening our "Connect with Confluent" partnerships, playing a significant part in our company's growth. You will have the opportunity to work with both prominent technology partners and emerging startups, keeping you at the forefront of the industry. As a Partner Solutions Engineer, you will ensure that it is effortless for customers to integrate Confluent and partner products within the ecosystem. You will collaborate with ISV and Product teams to determine a roadmap of partner integrations, define, build, and deliver repeatable solutions that highlight the joint value propositions of our partners and Confluent. You will own relationships with key technical leaders and support partner technical initiatives such as partner-driven scalable go-to-market assets, partner team enablement workshops, assessments, advice, and coaching. Additionally, you will advocate on behalf of partners' technical concerns with Confluent internal teams, helping to bring those concerns to resolution. Your role will also involve providing architecture guidance and recommendations across solutions, offerings, and customer opportunities, as well as authoring whitepapers, technical articles, and blog posts. You will help scale the team by building reusable content and programs, contributing to the overall success of our partner ecosystem.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure it's effortless for customers to integrate Confluent and Partner products in the ecosystem
  • Collaborate with ISV and Product teams to determine a roadmap of partner integrations
  • Define, build, and deliver repeatable solutions that highlight the partner and Confluent joint value propositions
  • Own relationships with key technical leaders
  • Support Partner technical initiatives such as partner-driven scalable GTM assets, partner team enablement workshops, assessment, advice, and coaching
  • Advocate on behalf of Partners' technical concerns with Confluent internal teams, helping to bring those concerns to resolution
  • Provide architecture guidance and recommendations across solutions, offerings, and customer opportunities
  • Author whitepapers, technical articles, and blog posts
  • Help scale the team by building reusable content and programs

Requirements

  • Demonstrated hands-on experience architecting enterprise solutions for customers or partners
  • Exceptional program management skills and attention to detail
  • Understanding of the ecosystem surrounding Confluent and Kafka
  • Ability to prioritize across multiple projects
  • Experience as a Sales Engineer or Technical Account Manager
  • Experience operating within and across cross-functional teams, including product management, engineering, sales, marketing, etc

Nice-to-haves

  • Knowledge of Apache Kafka and other streaming technologies
  • Experience as a Sales/Systems Engineer in a cloud environment or equivalent experience in a customer or partner-facing role
  • Experience designing and building big data, stream processing, and other distributed systems for Fortune 1000 companies
  • Experience working with global teams
