About the position

The Senior Payroll & Benefits Administrator at Aristotle Capital Management is responsible for managing payroll processes and employee benefits administration for approximately 240 employees. This role ensures accurate payroll processing, compliance with regulations, and effective communication of benefits to employees, contributing to the overall success of the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Process semi-monthly payrolls for all Aristotle affiliates.
  • Ensure accurate and timely processing of payroll updates including new hires, terminations, and changes to pay rates.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate records and reports of payroll transactions.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state and local payroll, wage, and hour laws and best practices.
  • Facilitate audits by providing records and documentation to auditors.
  • Identify and recommend updates to payroll processing software, systems and procedures.
  • Enter, maintain, and/or process information in the payroll system.
  • Coordinate daily benefits processing including enrollments, COBRA, terminations, and compliance testing.
  • Perform plan audits and prepare data for actuarial assessments.
  • Provide necessary reports to senior management and the finance department.
  • Oversee maintenance of employee benefits files and update payroll records.
  • Provide customer service support to internal and external customers.
  • Manage personnel files, both physical and within HR systems.
  • Prepare reports on employee data.
  • Assist with 401k and Worker's Compensation administration and audits.
  • Assist with other general HR and administrative tasks as needed.

Requirements

  • Minimum of three to five years of related experience in employee benefits and payroll administration.
  • Degree from an accredited college or university, or equivalent work experience.
  • Experience with HR and payroll systems, especially ADP Workforce Now and ADP Benefits Administration.
  • Knowledge of federal and state regulations affecting payroll and employee benefits programs.
  • Extremely organized and detail-oriented.
  • Strong analytical skills and thorough knowledge of plan designs.
  • Effective planning and priority setting skills.
  • Exceptional customer service skills.
  • High integrity and ability to maintain confidential information.
  • Enthusiastic team player.
