We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Payroll Specialist to join our finance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of payroll, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations. Additionally, the Senior Payroll Specialist will analyze and interpret financial data, identifying areas of improvement and implementing necessary adjustments to the general ledger. Conducting general ledger accounting and reconciliation is also a key responsibility, utilizing technical accounting knowledge to ensure compliance with accounting standards. The Senior Payroll Specialist will oversee accounts payable, ensuring accurate and timely processing of vendor payments. They will manage and maintain the company's payroll system, utilizing ADP or Ceridian software, to ensure seamless operations. Collaboration with other departments is essential to ensure payroll accuracy and compliance with company policies. The role also includes providing expert-level support to the accounting team, assisting with general ledger accounting and technical accounting inquiries. Developing and implementing processes to improve payroll efficiency, reducing errors and costs, is a critical aspect of this position. Periodic audits will be conducted to ensure payroll compliance with relevant laws and regulations, and the specialist will stay up-to-date with changing payroll laws and regulations, implementing necessary changes to ensure compliance.

Responsibilities

• Manage and process payroll for all employees, including benefits administration, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Analyze and interpret financial data, identifying areas of improvement and implementing necessary adjustments to the general ledger.
• Conduct general ledger accounting and reconciliation, utilizing technical accounting knowledge to ensure compliance with accounting standards.
• Oversee accounts payable, ensuring accurate and timely processing of vendor payments.
• Manage and maintain the company's payroll system, utilizing ADP or Ceridian software, to ensure seamless operations.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure payroll accuracy and compliance with company policies.

• Conduct periodic audits to ensure payroll compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
• Stay up-to-date with changing payroll laws and regulations, implementing necessary changes to ensure compliance.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in payroll and accounting, with a focus on technical accounting and general ledger accounting.
• Proven expertise in benefits administration and general ledger reconciliation.
• Proficiency in ADP or Paychex software.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
• Strong technical accounting knowledge.
• QuickBooks experience preferred.
• Certification in Payroll, such as the Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) or the Certified Professional in Payroll (CPP).
