About the position

As a Senior Payroll Specialist, you will play a vital role in our payroll team, ensuring accurate and timely processing of payroll for approximately 1,400 employees. This position is ideal for someone who is not only a payroll expert but also a collaborative problem solver who can bring innovative ideas to the table. You will be responsible for updating payroll records, processing commissions and other employee incentives, and balancing payroll reconciliation worksheets. Your contributions will directly impact our employees' experiences and help us maintain our commitment to excellence in the real estate tech industry. In this role, you will work closely with the Payroll Manager and collaborate with HR and Benefits Teams to resolve any issues related to employee pay and deductions. You will also be tasked with preparing various reports and queries for internal business partners, ensuring that all payroll-related transactions are processed in accordance with company policy. The position requires a keen attention to detail and the ability to handle confidential matters with discretion. Responsibilities

  • Updates payroll records by approving self-service changes within UltiPro
  • Pulls hours in Time and Attendance system, enters and validates necessary data per assigned pay groups for Bi-weekly processing
  • Processes commissions, other employee incentives, and other ad-hoc payments
  • Balances bi-weekly payroll reconciliation worksheet and reports
  • Prepares various reports and queries for internal business partners and Payroll Team
  • Monitors Payroll Helpdesk for assigned tasks and employees in pay groups assigned
  • Works with HR and Benefits Teams to resolve issues related to employee pay and deductions
  • Interprets company policy in processing payroll-related transactions
  • Processes Manual checks
  • Performs other duties as necessary

Requirements

  • 4-6 years of progressive payroll experience required
  • Associate or bachelor's degree in business or accounting preferred
  • UKG processing and reporting experience required
  • Proven experience in a payroll position in a fast-paced, high-volume environment required
  • Strong knowledge of tax and wage laws in a multi-state employment environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail
  • Strong computer literacy including Microsoft Office applications
  • Intermediate Excel and BI Reporting skills
  • Exceptional multitasking and organizational skills
  • Able to handle confidential matters using sound judgement and discretion
  • Able to work effectively in a Hybrid work environment with minimal supervision
