About the position

The Senior Payroll Tax Specialist is responsible for the timely and accurate processing of multi-state payroll tax activities, ensuring that payroll tax-related issues are escalated to leadership. This role involves collaboration with internal colleagues and providing secondary customer support to the Payroll Compliance team, utilizing Salesforce for documentation and resolution of inquiries.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with internal colleagues to resolve cases and complete service orders.
  • Handle case inquiries and follow up via email support through Salesforce Cases.
  • Resolve low complexity, high volume tasks related to workflow as assigned.
  • Communicate internally and externally via client cases, email, and telephone as secondary customer support to the Customer Service team for Payroll Compliance.
  • Document customer inquiries and resolutions proficiently in Salesforce.
  • Process various data-related tasks within the Payroll Tax organization.
  • Escalate identified customer concerns or tax changes to leadership.

Requirements

  • Typically 2+ years of experience in payroll tax compliance or related field.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Solid understanding of US payroll tax including federal, state, and local laws and regulations.
