The Orange County Department of Education (OCDE) is seeking a Senior Payroll Technician to join its Business Services Division. This role is critical in ensuring the accurate and timely processing of payroll for various school districts within Orange County. The Senior Payroll Technician will be responsible for performing specialized payroll duties, which include payroll reporting and record maintenance for school districts, ensuring compliance with all applicable legal requirements. The technician will evaluate and research payroll discrepancies, prepare and generate necessary federal, Social Security, and Medicare tax deposits, and reconcile quarterly returns for federal and state agencies.
