About the position

The Senior PC Application Developer position at the Department of Innovation & Technology (DoIT) involves performing specialized professional work in Application Services, primarily supporting the Department of Revenue (IDOR). The role requires collaboration with a team of developers to assess user needs, coordinate complex projects, and manage the development lifecycle, including specification writing, coding, testing, and auditing.

Responsibilities

• Perform difficult and specialized professional work in Application Services.
• Work with a team of developers to determine needed changes and enhancements based on user feedback.
• Conduct comprehensive studies and analyses of client needs and objectives.
• Coordinate full-range major/complex projects including large hardware/software deployments and installations.
• Assign development tasks to team members and oversee their completion.
• Write specifications, code applications, and conduct testing and audits.

Requirements

• Experience in application development and support.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Proficiency in coding and software development practices.
