About the position

The Senior People Operations Manager will play a strategic role in scaling HR processes within a rapidly growing pre-IPO startup. Reporting directly to the VP of People Operations, this position involves overseeing day-to-day HR operations, including onboarding, HR administration, and compliance, while fostering a positive workplace culture. The role requires a deep understanding of the employee lifecycle to provide exceptional service and ensure reliable and seamless people operations.

Responsibilities

  • Automate workflows in HR processes to minimize inefficiencies and scale operations.
  • Provide an immersive onboarding experience for new hires to highlight their role's impact on the business.
  • Support the development and implementation of employee engagement initiatives, such as surveys and team-building activities.
  • Maintain accurate employee records and assist with benefits administration, ensuring HR data is up-to-date in HRIS systems.
  • Serve as a first point of contact for employee inquiries and provide guidance on HR policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in any discipline.
  • 7+ years of people operations experience, preferably in a high-growth startup.
  • Strong understanding of human resources best practices and employment law.
  • Experience in implementing and building HR automations and systems.
  • Certification in SHRM or HRCI preferred.
