About the position

The Senior PeopleSoft Financial Developer (Information Technology Analyst 3) position at the State of Connecticut's Office of the State Comptroller involves providing application development support for Core-CT PeopleSoft Financial applications. The role requires expertise in Oracle PeopleSoft and PeopleCode, focusing on system maintenance, upgrades, and customizations to ensure the effective operation of financial modules. Responsibilities

  • Provide application development support for Core-CT PeopleSoft Financial applications and modules.
  • Serve as Senior PeopleSoft Financial Developer to support Core-CT with existing system maintenance and upcoming application upgrades.
  • Support PeopleSoft Financials 9.2 modules such as General Ledger, Accounts Payable, and Project Costing.
  • Monitor batch processing and system issues, perform issue analysis, and coordinate resolution with the Core-CT team.
  • Develop and review SQL for data maintenance and updates.
  • Develop applications using PeopleSoft PeopleTools including PeopleCode and Application Engine.
  • Maintain and enhance existing applications and reports.
  • Coordinate with team and module leads for resolution of time-sensitive issues.
  • Work with DBAs to monitor and improve application performance.
  • Assist in the design and development of PeopleSoft customizations based on business requirements.
  • Create standard operating procedures for issue resolution.
  • Assist with bug fixes and patching activities.
  • Work with Oracle database tables and structures, views, functions, and indexes.
  • Perform code updates and retrofits and resolve issues with testing.
  • Assist with Oracle PeopleSoft PUM and application patching process.
  • Maintain documentation of development processes and configurations.
  • Work with business partners to establish new interfaces as required.
  • Develop and maintain outbound and inbound file interfaces.
  • Utilize STAT or Phire for code comparison and change management.

Requirements

  • Seven (7) years of experience in information technology operations, programming, systems/software development, or another IT-related field.
  • One (1) year of experience at the full professional working level with responsibility for complex technical support functions.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience explaining technical concepts to a diverse population.
  • Experience with full project life cycle implementation using PeopleSoft Financials application on version 9.2 or other recent versions.
  • Experience using PeopleTools 8.56 or recent versions as a PeopleSoft Developer.
