About the position

The Enterprise Account Engineer (EAE) at AWS National Security is a pivotal role focused on providing technical guidance and support to customers across various industries, helping them maximize the value of AWS services. This position emphasizes building strong relationships with clients, understanding their operational needs, and advocating for best practices in cloud solutions. The EAE will not engage in sales but will act as a principal technical advisor, ensuring customers' AWS environments remain operationally healthy and aligned with their business objectives.

Responsibilities

• Act as the principal technical advisor and 'voice of the customer' for AWS services.
• Craft and execute strategies to drive customer adoption and use of AWS services.
• Provide advocacy and strategic technical guidance to customers.
• Engage in discussions with senior leadership regarding incidents, trade-offs, support, and risk management.
• Maintain operational health of customers' AWS environments.
• Understand customers' business and operational needs to deliver tailored solutions.

Requirements

• 5+ years of technical engineering experience in operational parameters and troubleshooting for Compute, Storage, Networking, CDN, Databases, AI/ML, DevOps, Big Data, and Analytics, or Security.
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Math, or related discipline, or 5 years of equivalent work experience.
• Current, active US Government Security Clearance of TS/SCI with Polygraph.
• 7+ years of technical engineering experience in operational parameters and troubleshooting for three or more of the specified areas.
• Experience in Information Technology operations.
• Experience with AWS services and/or other cloud offerings.

Nice-to-haves
