About the position

The position at UnitedHealthcare involves supporting members by collecting clinical information for Medicare Part D Appeal Requests. The role requires effective communication, adherence to production and quality standards, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. The job offers the flexibility to telecommute and requires working Monday to Friday with rotating weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

  • Become knowledgeable with our process to best support our members
  • Expected to meet departments production, quality, and success rate standards
  • Work independently and as a team player to achieve individual and departmental goals
  • Make outbound calls to collect clinical information for Medicare Part D Appeal Requests
  • Demonstrate excellent oral and communication skills
  • Work efficiently to meet case deadlines
  • Model attendance and schedule adherence habits
  • Remain focused and productive with little supervision
  • Eager to learn to work in many Windows-based applications and other complex systems

Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED (or higher) OR 4+ years of experience working as a Pharmacy Technician
  • Active Pharmacy Technician license in your state of residence OR National Certification (PTCB)
  • 2+ years of Pharmacy Technician experience
  • Intermediate level of proficiency with Microsoft Office
  • Ability to work Monday - Friday, 8-hour shift between 8:00am -6pm local time, with rotating weekends & holidays

Nice-to-haves

  • Previous prior Authorization experience
  • Previous experience as a Pharmacy Technician in retail, hospital, specialty pharmacy
  • Certification by the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board
