About the position

The Senior Physician Compensation Analyst at Mayo Clinic plays a crucial role in providing high-level compensation support through the design, analytics, and execution of both new and existing pay programs and practices. This position is focused on delivering consultative-level compensation services, which includes designing pay programs tailored to meet the organization's needs, creating business processes to operationalize these programs, and collaboratively completing job evaluations, market pricing, large-scale department reorganizations, and equity reviews. The analyst will also participate in various projects and lead large-scale project work, utilizing advanced Excel skills to perform and present complex compensation data analytics. This role is fully remote, allowing the analyst to work from anywhere in the U.S., which provides flexibility and work-life balance.

Responsibilities

  • Perform high-level compensation support through design, analytics, and execution of pay programs.
  • Provide consultative-level compensation services to meet organizational needs.
  • Design pay programs and practices tailored to the organization.
  • Create business processes to operationalize compensation programs.
  • Collaboratively complete job evaluations and market pricing.
  • Lead large-scale department reorganizations and equity reviews.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in human resources, business, or a related field.
  • Five years of related experience in compensation analysis.
  • Compensation-specific experience and certification preferred.
  • Knowledge of physician compensation structures and programs.
  • Understanding of regulatory requirements surrounding physician compensation.
  • Experience with compensation models that include variable components such as RVU or quality metrics.
  • Ability to provide analysis for physician compensation structures by specialty.
  • Experience working with physician leaders on compensation-related topics preferred.

Nice-to-haves

  • Certification in compensation analysis or related field.
  • Experience in healthcare compensation analysis.
  • Familiarity with data visualization tools.
