About the position

The Senior PI Developer will lead the installation, implementation, upgrade, migration, and configuration of the AVEVA OSIsoft PI System. This role focuses on developing analytics data processes to enhance strategic outcomes within the organization.

Responsibilities

• Collaborates with peers to translate business requirements to Technical Design Specifications and design develop code for Control Center applications as required.
• Ensure the continuous availability of the OSI PI Historian for pipeline operations, facilities, tank farm management, and product deliveries.
• Provide support for AVEVA OSI PI Data Historian infrastructure supporting pipeline operations, facilities, tank farm management, and deliveries control Centers.
• Install and configure PI OPC Interfaces with failover, configure PI buffer Subsystem (upgrade and design).
• Administer PI Vision Servers, PI-AF SDK/PI Web API, and implement compliance activities.
• Hands-on configuration, coding, and testing related to PI Data Historian including creation/modification of PI tags, PI AF Element templates, and AF Elements.
• Develop PI-based dashboards using PI Vision, PI AF Analytics, PI Notifications, and PI Event Frames.
• Work with PI Interfaces: OPC DA/UA, RDBMS, PI to PI.
• Software development in PI Visualization Suite, PI Integrator for Google Cloud, PI Integrator for Esri ArcGIS, and Spotfire.
• Conduct system installation, configuration, performance testing, and tuning.
• Develop system models, visualizations, dashboards, analytical equations, and reports.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience as AVEVA PI Developer in developing AVEVA PI system applications, data modeling, and architecture.
• Ability to respond to system alerts 24x7 to resolve issues and ensure application availability.
• Exceptional knowledge and experience with the AVEVA OSIsoft PI-Historian (PI-RTQP/PI SQL/PI OLEDB, PI Datalink, PI - PI Interface, PI ACE, Rt Reports and Alarms for Batch and process industries) while programming in C#, .Net, Visual Studio, SSIS, API/Adapter calls, SQL.
• Deep experience with approximately 5+ years that includes hands-on systems experiences in one or more of the OSIsoft PI System functional modules in a production environment.
• Experience with at least two full life cycle implementations of OSIsoft PI System modules and experience in a dynamic support environment.

• Experience in the Energy sector.
• AVEVA Certified in Developing Applications with PI AFSDK, Developing Applications with PI WEB API.
• AVEVA Certificate in Developing Applications with PI DATALINK, PI SQL, PI System Administration (Basics).
