About the position

The position is focused on providing essential administrative processes, technical knowledge, and direction to enhance Fluor's competitiveness in the global marketplace. The role involves serving as an Area Lead or Lead on assigned projects, performing complex engineering assignments, and delivering quality services with unmatched value and technical competence.

Responsibilities

  • Promote Fluor's competitiveness by delivering quality services.
  • Serve as an Area Lead or Lead on assigned projects.
  • Perform complex to difficult engineering assignments.
  • Evaluate, select, and apply advanced engineering techniques.
  • Develop and review estimates and schedules, including workforce forecasts.
  • Establish, track, and monitor material key quantities; provide analysis and forecasts.
  • Develop and review specifications, including design criteria.
  • Participate in equipment and material procurement, permitting, and subcontracting activities.
  • Perform and check calculations, specify equipment, and solve complex engineering problems.
  • Participate in people development through mentoring and training.
  • Analyze and make independent recommendations regarding solutions to problems.

Requirements

  • Accredited four (4) year degree in engineering or equivalent.
  • Ten (10) years of work-related experience.
  • Professional certification or registration in the applicable field (if required).
  • Ability to communicate effectively with various audiences.
  • Job-related technical knowledge necessary to complete the job.
  • Ability to learn and apply knowledge of applicable statutes and guidelines.
  • Attention to detail and time management skills.
  • Professional registration and membership in a technical society (preferred).
  • Advanced knowledge of discipline codes and standards.
  • Effort-hour estimating and staff forecasting experience.
  • Managing and leading large projects.

Nice-to-haves

  • Advanced knowledge of piping engineering software (e.g., Red Bag, Matman).
  • Previous experience with Fluor.
