About the position

The Senior PL/SQL Developer role at Presbyterian Healthcare Services involves formulating and defining system scope and objectives based on user needs, while solving complex problems related to computer equipment capacity and limitations. The position requires preparing detailed specifications for programming, analyzing existing system logic, and working at a high technical level across all phases of applications systems analysis activities. This role is remote eligible and focuses on Java-based integrations using Oracle PL/SQL, particularly in the healthcare domain.

Responsibilities

• Provides advanced support for definition/refinement of business requirements and for quality assurance/acceptance testing efforts
• Designs, develops, tests and debugs software components of moderate to high complexity
• Provides implementation, production and upgrade support for software components of moderate to high complexity
• Acts as a supporting liaison between the application team and the user community, facilitating communications and coordinating system enhancements
• Works with user community to define business requirements and use cases for system configuration and development
• Manages the development of user and technical documentation according to department standards.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience with Java, Oracle, SQL, PL/SQL, packages, triggers and views for programming, development, and production support
• Bachelor's degree in related technical/business area plus 4 years of IT or business experience (6 years of additional experience can be substituted in lieu of degree)
• Health plan knowledge with emphasis on claims operations, financial reconciliation, provider networks, claims management systems, data hubs, and data governance
• Experience with ETL processes using data hubs and Operational Data Store (ODS), JSON, CSV, and EDI transaction standards
• Experience with production operations support working multiple, parallel projects.
