About the position

The Senior PL/SQL Developer role is designed for an experienced professional with a strong background in PL/SQL development and database management. The position requires proficiency in developing complex database solutions, working closely with UI teams, and performing data analysis to optimize performance. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of ETL processes and experience with various database technologies, particularly in the oil and gas industry.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain PL/SQL code for database applications.
• Collaborate with UI teams to integrate database solutions with front-end applications.
• Design and implement ETL processes for data extraction, transformation, and loading.
• Optimize SQL and PL/SQL code for performance improvements.
• Conduct data analysis to troubleshoot and resolve performance issues.
• Utilize Python and related libraries for database connectivity and data manipulation.

Requirements

• 5-10 years of experience in PL/SQL development.
• Strong skills in database development including partitions, dbms jobs, packages, procedures, and functions.
• Proficient in using cursors, XML, JSON, and other data formats.
• Experience in developing end-to-end ETL jobs.
• Strong SQL and PL/SQL tuning skills.
• Data analysis skills for debugging and performance optimization.
• Experience with Python and libraries such as requests, JSON, and pandas.

Nice-to-haves

• Familiarity with Oracle Exadata.
• Experience with MemSQL, NoSQL databases, and S3 technologies.
• Experience in the oil and gas industry.
