About the position

The Senior Platform Engineer at Capital One will play a crucial role in enhancing the Human Resource technology ecosystem. This position involves developing resilient solutions in Workday, focusing on automation and innovative problem-solving in a collaborative environment. The engineer will work closely with product owners and HR partners to deliver effective solutions across various HR functions, ensuring high standards and continuous improvement in processes.

Responsibilities

  • Work with product owners to understand desired application capabilities and testing scenarios.
  • Translate business priorities while integrating HR value propositions and strategies.
  • Deliver solutions in Workday across HCM, Recruiting, Compensation, Payroll, and Benefits.
  • Communicate effectively with team members, Product Owners, and stakeholders to influence solutions.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and collaborate with HR partners to redesign business processes.
  • Research, test, and stay updated on Workday updates, fixes, and capabilities.
  • Build and maintain thorough documentation for system implementation.
  • Serve as the primary contact for questions related to the system from both business and technical perspectives.
  • Provide production support for Workday by troubleshooting problems and working with the business to resolve issues.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent certification.
  • At least 4 years of experience with Workday Reporting.
  • At least 1 year of experience with calculated fields or custom reports.

Nice-to-haves

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Experience working in an agile delivery environment.
  • Workday or Workday Pro certifications (HCM, Recruiting, Benefits, Compensation, Time Tracking or Performance Management).
  • 1+ years of experience loading HCM data into Workday using existing Enterprise Interface Builders (EIB's).
