About the position

The Senior Portfolio Manager at Edward Jones Trust Company is responsible for providing personalized investment management and fiduciary services. Responsibilities

  • Consult with financial advisors, clients, and other professionals to assess client needs.
  • Identify asset allocation and construct portfolios that align with client objectives.
  • Provide discretionary management for complex trust and High Net Worth portfolios.
  • Partner with financial advisors to enhance the overall client experience.
  • Establish appropriate investment objectives and articulate tailored investment strategies.
  • Utilize systems and tools to execute trade and rebalancing decisions efficiently.
  • Coach and train less experienced team members on best practices and escalated issues.
  • Support financial advisors in developing new business by communicating the firm's solutions.
  • Collaborate with various service areas including Trust Administration and Client Consultation Group.
  • Lead presentations at client events, regional meetings, and seminars.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required, preferably in a business-related field.
  • CFA Charter required.
  • Ten+ years of financial services experience.
  • Minimum six years of experience in portfolio management or related roles.
  • Expert-level understanding of investments and portfolio management strategies.
  • Familiarity with multiple accounting, performance, data, and trading systems.
  • Proficiency in evaluating investment research from various providers.
  • Demonstrated experience with estate planning principles and financial planning-related items.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proven ability to articulate investment philosophy and strategies.

Nice-to-haves

  • Master's degree preferred.
  • Additional designations such as CFP or CAIA.
  • Prior portfolio management experience at a trust company.
