About the position

The role involves designing, developing, and maintaining Power BI dashboards, reports, and visualizations to meet business reporting needs. The position requires collaboration with business analysts and stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into efficient Power BI solutions, ensuring data accuracy and integrity while optimizing report performance.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain Power BI dashboards, reports, and visualizations.
  • Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to gather requirements.
  • Develop data models and calculate measures using DAX.
  • Implement ETL processes as needed.
  • Optimize reports for performance, including data refresh scheduling and query optimization.
  • Ensure the accuracy and integrity of data by validating results with data sources.
  • Create and maintain documentation of reports, processes, and data models.
  • Provide support and troubleshooting for Power BI reports and dashboards in production environments.
  • Stay current on Power BI updates and suggest improvements to the reporting landscape.
  • Train and support end-users in using Power BI reports and dashboards.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior report writers.
  • Proactively seek ways to improve reporting processes, automation, and scalability.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or a related field.
  • Minimum 7+ years of experience in report writing and data visualization, with at least 5 years using Power BI.
  • Proficiency in Power BI, including DAX and Power Query.
  • Strong experience in creating interactive reports and dashboards.
  • Familiarity with SQL and database management systems (e.g., SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL).
  • Experience working with ETL tools and processes.
  • Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and data modeling.
  • Familiarity with cloud-based reporting environments like Azure is a plus.
  • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
