About the position

The Senior Power BI Developer will play a crucial role in modernizing Daisy Brand's data platform and visualization strategies. This position requires a highly experienced individual with over 10 years of expertise in Power BI, who can effectively collaborate with business leaders to translate their needs into actionable data visualizations. The developer will be responsible for building data models, implementing advanced analytics techniques, and ensuring the security and efficiency of Power BI solutions within the enterprise.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with subject matter experts to determine business information and reporting requirements.
  • Provide technical and architectural guidance to projects and teams for effective reporting and analyses.
  • Define, design, develop, document, and maintain Power BI data models and visualizations.
  • Implement advanced techniques using Power BI Premium, XMLA Endpoints, and Tabular Editor 3.
  • Develop and maintain complex DAX, Power Query formula language (M), and T-SQL queries.
  • Provide guidance on Power BI security, user mapping, and app deployment.
  • Oversee and conduct analysis, design, implementation, and support of the company data warehouse.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of relevant experience in Power BI and data visualization.
  • Thorough understanding of Power BI architecture, including CI/CD pipelines, data modeling, and security.
  • Experience with Azure SQL Database, Azure SQL Managed Instance, and On-Premise SQL Server.
  • Strong knowledge of Power BI dashboard development, ETL processes, and data architectures.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with technical and business teams.

Nice-to-haves

  • Familiarity with Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse, and/or SSIS.
  • Knowledge of Azure services, including Azure Data Lake.
  • Experience implementing API calls.
  • Experience with manufacturing data.
  • Knowledge of D365 Finance and Operations data.
