About the position

The Senior Power BI Developer at Bryan Health is a key expert responsible for the overall Power BI strategy within the organization. This role involves providing high-level support for the development and administration of Power BI capabilities, building reports and dashboards to meet business needs, and translating complex data into actionable insights. The position requires a combination of technical expertise, creativity, and strong time management skills to ensure deliverables are user-friendly and effective.

Responsibilities

  • Acts as a technical expert in Power BI, serving as both administrator and developer.
  • Builds Data Analytics enterprise models using Power BI and assists business users with functional and data requirements.
  • Coordinates with data analytics team members to enhance data collection and integration processes.
  • Understands healthcare data architectures and data warehousing standards.
  • Designs and implements database structures and data models for efficient data storage and retrieval.
  • Converts business requirements into user-friendly reports and dashboards in Power BI.
  • Develops, publishes, schedules, and maintains data visualizations and reports using Power BI.
  • Creates and optimizes SQL queries for ETL processes.
  • Assists leadership and data analytics department with business analysis and performance management projects.
  • Collaborates with stakeholders to understand reporting needs and deliver insights.
  • Translates requirements into technical specifications and provides solutions.
  • Develops and maintains business intelligence solutions using various tools.
  • Supports continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and quality.
  • Analyzes data to identify trends and provide insights to leadership.
  • Optimizes and troubleshoots data and visuals using Performance Analyzer.
  • Maintains professional growth through seminars and workshops.
  • Participates in meetings and department projects as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Management, or related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • Minimum of five years related work experience, with at least three years of Power BI experience required.
  • Expert knowledge of Power BI Services, data modeling, DAX language, and data visualization.
  • Strong analytical skills to analyze complex datasets and derive insights.
  • Experience in business intelligence development, including ETL processes and reporting.
  • Knowledge of access, security, and database design principles.
  • Proficiency in SQL for querying large datasets.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Azure platform and services.
  • Knowledge of scripting languages such as Shell Scripting or VBA for automation tasks.
