About the position

The Senior Power BI Developer at alliantgroup, LP is a pivotal role focused on expanding and maintaining the company's reporting platform solutions. This position requires a blend of technical expertise and business acumen, as the developer will lead interactions with business stakeholders, design and implement business intelligence solutions, and ensure the operational integrity of the BI platform. The role is essential for driving the enterprise BI and performance management strategy, making it crucial for the company's mission of strengthening American businesses.

Responsibilities

• Hands-on design, development, and execution of Extract, Transform and Load (ETL) & Report Development processes.
• Implementation of enterprise BI, analytics, and performance management solutions in a complex enterprise environment.
• Collaborate with business and technology leaders to identify key business requirements for enterprise BI/Performance Management strategy.
• Design, configure, and deploy BI/Performance Management application user functionality using the Microsoft SQL Server BI technology stack.
• Manage data architecture and integration with dimensional data modeling, data sourcing/mapping, and data flow within the implemented solution.
• Document requirement specifications and determine necessary ETL & Reporting solutions in partnership with business team members.
• Conduct project planning and work estimates.
• Monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot the Microsoft SQL Server BI platform.
• Define and ensure adherence to architecture standards, reference models, clean coding standards, and processes.
• Provide technical direction and collaborate with 3rd party vendors to define and deliver BI applications.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 7-10 years of relevant experience in planning and delivering enterprise-wide Reporting and data warehouse solutions.
• 7 years of competency with Microsoft BI technology stack.
• Expert knowledge with multiple successful implementations of Microsoft BI solutions.
• Working knowledge and experience in data design/dimensional data modeling.
• Working knowledge and experience in SSIS, SSRS, SSAS, and SQL Server development tools.
• Proficient analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Strong understanding of SDLC and Agile methodologies.

• Working knowledge of Power BI is a plus.
