About the position

SAIC is seeking a Senior Power Platform Developer/RPA Developer to automate business processes for various clients, including government entities. This role involves working across the automation and development life cycle, focusing on enhancing efficiency and innovation through the Microsoft Power Platform and Robotic Process Automation (RPA) tools. The successful candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify automation opportunities and streamline workflows.

Responsibilities

• Develop optimized strategies for automating business processes using the Microsoft Power Platform.
• Integrate Power Apps and Power Automate flows with various data sources, leveraging connectors and APIs.
• Develop custom applications using PowerApps and the Power Fx language.
• Create complex custom workflows using Power Automate for business process automation.
• Manage Power Platform administration, including environment management and security configuration.
• Design technical solutions for automating business processes using Microsoft Power Automate or UiPath.
• Create and execute tests to evaluate the performance of solutions.
• Document and update solution designs throughout the automation life cycle.
• Perform detailed estimations for project aspects.
• Troubleshoot and resolve incidents in the production environment.
• Collaborate with business analysts to define requirements and assess technical feasibility of solutions.
• Mentor fellow Power Platform developers and educate business stakeholders on deployed solutions.
• Gather additional requirements and resolve incidents in production.
• Participate in team meetings to enhance development standards and practices.
• Provide feedback through code and technical design reviews.
• Evaluate change requests and communicate approaches to the project team or customer.
• Work collaboratively within SAIC's Innovation Factory Hyperautomation team.

Requirements

• Must be a U.S. Citizen with the ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance.
• Bachelor's Degree in a related field (computer science or STEM) and five years of relevant experience.
• Experience with the Microsoft Power Platform and UiPath or other automation tools.
• Proficient in creating connectors, flows, and templates within Microsoft Power Automate.
• Experience with Agile methodologies and user story documentation.
• Knowledge of tools like GIT, JIRA, and Azure DevOps.
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication skills and experience working closely with customers.
• Strong planning, organizational, and time management skills.
• Ability to learn new skills and concepts quickly.
• Relevant certifications or ability to obtain them.

Nice-to-haves

• Power Platform Certification (PL-500 Certification).
• Experience with other RPA platforms like UiPath or Automation Anywhere.
• Experience designing and developing custom reports and dashboards using Power BI.
• Experience with business process modeling and automation tools like Pega or Appian.
